LOCAL ATAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The City of Mauldin is forming a seven-person Local Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee aimed at strengthening tourism in the Mauldin community, with the intent of putting more people in our hotels, lodges, and inns, as well as in restaurants and other dining establishments.
This local ATAX Advisory Committee will be primarily comprised of representatives from the lodging and hospitality industry as well as at least one person who represents the arts and culture interests of the community.
The main function of this committee will be to solicit, receive and review the applications from entities wishing to receive funding for their tourism-related projects or events. We expect that the committee will meet up to two or three times annually to review these applications and to prepare a recommendation to City Council for the award of these funds.
Anyone interested in serving on the ATAX Advisory Committee can complete and email the application form below to Lisa Clark at LClark@mauldincitysc.com or mail it to Mauldin City Hall, 5 E. Butler Rd, Mauldin, SC 29662.

In response to an interest on the part of the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) to widen East Butler Road to a four-lane roadway with a median, Mauldin engaged a consultant to study the East Butler Road corridor and develop a plan that balances community interests and transportation needs. The East Butler Road Corridor Study was adopted as a result of these efforts.
