CITY BUDGET & FINANCIAL REPORTS
The City’s budget is prepared according to SC law and in accordance with the City of Mauldin Fiscal Policy adopted by the Mauldin City Council. It is divided into various main funds:
- General, Sewer
- Hospitality and Accommodations
- Fire Service
- Sports Center
- Debt Service
- Management funds
Each year Mauldin releases a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) which is prepared by the Finance Director’s office that includes financial statements that have been audited by an independent certified public accountant. The document is made up of four sections – Introductory, Financial, Statistical, and Compliance sections. In addition to the financial statements, the report contains other supplementary information to enhance the reader’s understanding of the financial condition of the City.
