The South Carolina Department of Transportation will be closing East Butler Road at the I-385 bridge beginning Monday, June 15 for bridge rehabilitation work. The roadway is expected to reopen on August 6, weather permitting.
As a result of this closure, detour routes will be in place for both northbound and southbound traffic:
- Detour Route for Southbound Traffic on E. Butler Rd — Go north on Woodruff Road and turn left to get on I-385 South, then take Exit 34 (E. Butler Rd)
- Detour Route for Northbound Traffic on E. Butler Rd — Go south on Bridges Road and turn left to get on I-385 North, then take Exit 34 (E. Butler Rd)
We encourage motorists to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, follow all posted detour signage and use caution while traveling through the area.
