The Mauldin Police Department is celebrating another year of National Night Out with the community on Tuesday, August 2 from 5-9 p.m. at the Mauldin Cultural Center Outdoor Amphitheater. MPD will be giving out FREE hot dogs, soda, chips, snow cones, cotton candy, and popcorn. Guests can enjoy a K-9 demonstration, bounce houses, a dance performance, a police dunk tank, face painting, a petting zoo, touch-a-truck, and more! Music will be provided by DJs from The Edge Entertainment.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas and select areas celebrate on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.

This year’s Mauldin NNO is sponsored by: Christina Ortiz – State Farm; Pepsi; Carolina Auto; LendFirst Mortgage; Aun & McKay Law Offices; Anne-Marie Realty; Public; Rob Ianuario Law Firm; Butler Express Car Wash; Dobson Towing, Inc.; and The Edge Entertainment.
