The Mauldin Theatre Company will close out its 2022-2023 season with “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” from May 27 through June 4 at the Mauldin Cultural Center at 101 E. Butler Rd.

Based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz, the play follows Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts gang exploring life’s great questions as they play baseball, struggle with homework, sing songs, swoon over their crushes and celebrate the joy of friendship.

“We’ve had an amazing season at the Mauldin Theatre Company, and I’m so excited to close it out with ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,’” Theatre and Production Coordinator Kristofer Parker said. “This is truly a show for all ages. Audience members will laugh and feel nostalgic watching this beloved story.”

Show dates and times are as follows:

  • Saturday, May 27 | 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 28 | 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 3 | 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 4 | 2 p.m.

The cast features Mateo Scott, Abbey Sullivan, Jonathan Coffee, Brady Green, Tesla Hennessy and Evan Lawton. The show is directed by Mia Phillips, who brings 27 years of experience at the South Carolina Children’s Theatre, where she first met Parker in 2011.

“I’m thrilled to have Mia Phillips join us as our director,” Parker said. “I had the chance to work with her at the SC Children’s Theatre during my first show in Greenville, and it feels like a full circle moment to have her be a part of the Mauldin Theatre Company’s final show of the season.”

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for students, seniors and members of the military; they can be purchased at https://our.show/mauldincultural/charliebrown.
