On Thursday, Oct. 22, the Mauldin Police Department arrested Brett Anthony Davis, 53, of Pelzer, and charged him with three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct With a Minor in the First Degree and one count of Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child. The arrest was conducted with the assistance of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Davis is accused of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter from 2003 to 2006, starting from the time she was 5 years old. Davis is accused of forcing the child to perform sexual acts on him, exposing the child to pornography, and forcing her to perform other heinous non-sexual acts as a source of entertainment or control.
Davis lived in Mauldin at the time of the alleged crimes. He is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on no bond.
