The Mauldin Cultural Center will host the fourth annual Mauldin Blues & Jazz Festival on Saturday, April 20 from 2 to 9 p.m. at the outdoor amphitheater at 101 E. Butler Rd. The free event will feature four live acts on the main stage: Kylie Odetta Trio, Greenville Jazz Collective Big Band, Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues and headliner John Németh. In between sets, youth jazz ensembles will perform on a second stage. There will also be a variety of food and drink offerings and family-friendly activities at this year’s event.

“We are thrilled to kick off our outdoor event season with the Mauldin Blues & Jazz Festival,” Event Coordinator Gina McAtee said. “This year, we are excited to add more music by introducing a second stage and incorporating local youth and young adult performers to showcase their talent. We look forward to an exciting fourth year and welcoming the community back to the Mauldin Cultural Center Amphitheater.”

The Mauldin Blues & Jazz Festival will feature multiple food truck vendors and a beer garden with two beer trucks from Growler Haus. Children’s activities will include face painting, an area for chalk art, lawn games, a park playground and a LEGO station by Bricks & Minifigs of Mauldin. The festival’s supporting sponsor is WOW! Fiber Internet.

The lineup of performers is as follows:

  • 2:00 – 3:15 | Kylie Odetta Trio
  • 3:45 – 5:00 | Greenville Jazz Collective Big Band
  • 5:30 – 7:00 | Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues
  • 7:30 – 9:00 | John Németh

“As the weather gets warmer, it’s exciting to have everyone return to the Mauldin Cultural Center,” said Council Member and Mayor Pro Tempore Taft Matney, who chairs city council’s Economic Planning and Development Committee. “The MCC has become an entertainment destination, and as the first local city to host a blues and jazz festival, we look forward to smiling faces coming out to enjoy the music, food and fun that the fourth annual Mauldin Blues & Jazz Festival has to offer.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets. Parking and entry are free, and leashed dogs are allowed at the event, which will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, the festival will be canceled.
