The Mauldin Cultural Center is set to kick off its outdoor festival season with the sixth annual Mauldin Blues & Jazz Festival on Saturday, April 18 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the outdoor amphitheater at 101 E. Butler Rd. This free event will feature four main stage acts: Absinthe Minded, Alex Kramer, Ping Rose and headliner Zac Person. Between sets, jazz ensembles from Greenville Jazz Collective will perform on a second stage. There will also be a variety of food and drink options and family-friendly activities at the event.
“The Mauldin Blues & Jazz Festival promises an unforgettable celebration of music and art,” Event Manager Caitlyn Pendleton said. “It will feature live performances across two stages, a vibrant New Orleans-style second line and an artisan market showcasing talented makers. There will also be a special pre-show unveiling of the newest sculpture added to our public art trail, marking an exciting addition to our community’s growing arts landscape. We hope guests will join us for a dynamic day honoring creativity, community and artistry.”

There will be multiple food trucks on site as well as beer and wine from Growler Haus. Children’s activities will include face painting, balloon art, lawn games and a 20-foot inflatable obstacle course.
“The Mauldin Blues and Jazz Festival has become one of those special traditions that brings our community together year after year,” said Taft Matney, City Council Member and chair of the Economic Planning and Development Committee. “It’s an opportunity for families, neighbors and visitors to enjoy great music while experiencing the energy and hospitality that make Mauldin such a welcoming place. Events like this don’t just celebrate the arts. They strengthen our sense of community and showcase the vibrancy of our city.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets. Parking and entry are free, and leashed dogs are allowed at the event, which will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, weather-related announcements will be posted on the Mauldin Cultural Center’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Outside food/beverages, smoking/vaping, weapons and scooters/skateboards/bikes are all prohibited at this event.
