The Mauldin Cultural Center will host three performances of the Shakespeare comedy “Love’s Labour’s Lost” this weekend, May 5-7, at the cultural center’s outdoor amphitheater at 101 E. Butler Rd. The shows are presented by MCC Shakes!, Mauldin Theatre Company’s Shakespeare program that performs one weekend a year.

“MCC Shakes! is an important part of the success of the Mauldin Theatre Company,” Theatre and Production Coordinator Kristofer Parker said. “I love that we’re finding new ways to bring provide more variety in our seasons, and what’s better than enjoying beautiful weather and Shakespeare?”

The show schedule is as follows:

Friday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring their chairs and blankets and enjoy the outdoor theater experience. In the event of rain, performances will move to the cultural center’s indoor theater. Growler Haus will serve beer and wine all three nights, and there will be a Chef on the Run food truck at Sunday’s performance.

“We’re always looking for ways to elevate our guests’ experience,” Parker said. “We’re excited to have Growler Haus joining us to provide wine and beer to purchase for every performance and to have a food truck coming to the Sunday evening performance.”

The show is directed by Lora Lassiter. For more details about the Mauldin Cultural Center, visit mauldinculturalcenter.org.
