The Mauldin Cultural Center will kick off the holiday season with a series of festive events for the whole family, beginning with A Merry Mauldin Christmas on Thursday, December 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cultural Center’s outdoor amphitheater. This event will feature the City of Mauldin’s annual tree lighting ceremony, a holiday market with more than 30 vendors, pictures with Santa and the Grinch, train rides, food trucks, and live performances from Kylie Odetta and more.
The Merry & Bright Holiday Light Trail will be returning with a new, interactive light display featuring an orb field with adjustable colors and a Winter Wonderland area featuring animated snowmen, blue ice sculpture trees and ice thorns.
Live performances by Kylie Odetta, the Mauldin Theatre Company and local community groups and schools will begin at 5 p.m., and the annual tree lighting will take place at approximately 7 p.m.
“This event captures the magic and charm of a classic Hallmark movie — right in our own backyard,” said Caitlyn Pendleton, event manager at the Mauldin Cultural Center. “Guests can visit Santa to share their wish lists, shop from local artisans and bakers offering handcrafted gifts and treats, and stroll through a beautifully lit Christmas light trail. It’s an event the entire family won’t want to miss.”

Entry to A Merry Mauldin Christmas is free, and leashed dogs are allowed. Smoking/vaping, outside food and beverages, weapons, skateboards, scooters and bicycles are prohibited at the event. In case of inclement weather, event updates will be communicated via the Mauldin Cultural Center’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
A Merry Mauldin Christmas is sponsored by South Carolina Federal Credit Union, WOW! Fiber Internet, IPS Packaging, Ace Hardware and Cristina Ortiz – State Farm.
