City of Mauldin To Host Memorial Day Ceremony on May 29 at 11 a.m.

The City of Mauldin will host a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at the Mauldin Veterans Memorial on East Butler Road. All are welcome to attend. The event program will include a welcome from Mayor Terry Merritt, opening and closing prayers by Pastor Carl McCluney of New Harvest Ministries Church, Presentation of Colors by the Mauldin High School Navy Junior ROTC, a variety of musical selections, and keynote speaker Charlie Hall, president of Upstate Warrior Solution.

“As a veteran, it means a lot to me that our city continues to host a ceremony on Memorial Day, and I’m proud to be able to participate,” said Mayor Terry Merritt, an Air Force veteran. “This is an important day of reflection and remembrance for our community, because we’re here to commemorate those who never came home.”
