The City of Mauldin and the South Carolina Office of Resilience (SCOR) plan to undertake a project known as Stormwater Infrastructure Improvements at Oak Park Drive, which is located in the vicinity of Oak Park Drive, Elkwood Street and Old Keith Court, within the municipal limits of the City of Mauldin.
The purpose of the project is to address and prevent future significant flooding events in the neighborhood by upgrading the stormwater infrastructure from dual 48” pipes to a 5’x4’ box culvert system underneath the east side of Elkwood Street, in addition to stream restoration of a tributary of Gilder Creek within the City’s Springfield Park upstream of Oak Park Drive.
SCOR intends to use American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding as part of the Stormwater Infrastructure Program (ASIP), resulting in a total project cost of $ 3,560,005. For more details, click here or view the full release at the link below:
