By July 16, 2021No Comments

Mauldin Fire Department was recognized by the Greenville County School District for its participation in Greenville County Schools Work-Based Learning. Through the Fire Department’s contributions of time, talent, and expertise, doors were opened for students to gain valuable workplace experiences which greatly enhance their career readiness.

“Your participation in Greenville County Schools Work-Based Learning not only directly impacts the student interns you develop and supervise, but creates a talent pipeline for well-trained workers in our local economy,” wrote Superintendent of Greenville County Schools, Dr. W. Burke Royster in a letter to all their work-based learning partners.

“We especially appreciate your partnership during 2020-2021, as the COVID-19 pandemic makes experiential and hands-on learning particularly challenging. Whether you facilitated an in-person Work-Based Leaming experience or sponsored a remote opportunity, we sincerely appreciate your willingness and flexibility to invest in our students this year!”

The Mauldin Fire Department offers a variety of educational opportunities throughout the year. For more information on these and other programs offered by MFD, please visit cityofmauldin.org/fire.
