In light of the severe weather in our area and in the interest of safety for both City employees and the public, the following changes are being made to City of Mauldin operations:
- Trash pickup for Friday, Sept. 27 has been canceled. The makeup day will be Monday, Sept. 30.
- All Mauldin Recreation sports programming is canceled for the afternoon/evening of Thursday, Sept. 26.
- The Mauldin Sports Center will close at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26.
- City offices – including City Hall, the Mauldin Sports Center, Ray W. Hopkins Senior Center and Mauldin Cultural Center – will open at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.
- The Mighty Kicks performance at the Mauldin Cultural Center on Friday night is still on as scheduled. Any updates will be made on the Mauldin Cultural Center Facebook page.
The Mauldin Police Department, Mauldin Fire Department and Public Works Department are prepared for the storm and have a plan to address likely weather impacts, including downed trees, flooded streets and safety hazards.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution when traveling and report any downed power lines or downed trees to the Mauldin Police Department non-emergency line at 864-289-8900, option 3.
