The Mauldin Cultural Center has revealed its 2022-2023 Theatre Season, which runs from August 2022 to May 2023. The season includes two Mauldin Youth Theatre productions, one musical revue, three Mauldin Theatre Company productions, and a “Shakespeare in the Park”-style production. The lineup was shared during a Reveal Show in February with songs from each production sung by local professional performers.
The Mauldin Theatre Company will kick off the season with their production of In the Heights on August 5-14, 2022. Their next shows will include an 80s rock music revue, I Wanna Rock!, September 23-October 2, 2022; A Christmas Carol: The Musical, December 2-11, 2022; and Disney’s Tarzan, May 12-21, 2023. The Mauldin Youth Theatre’s fall production will be Once on This Island JR. from November 4-13, 2022, followed by their spring show Cats (Young Actors Edition) from April 7-23, 2023. MCC Shakes! will perform Shakespeare’s comedy Love’s Labour’s Lost May 5-7, 2023 for free in the Mauldin Outdoor Amphitheater.
Tickets for all theatrical productions at the Mauldin Cultural Center can be found online at mauldinculturalcenter.org. The Cultural Center’s next show will be the Mauldin Youth Theatre and Mauldin Theatre Company’s joint production of Disney’s Newsies, from March 25-April 10, 2022.
