Polar Plunge Hosted By Mauldin Police Department

The Polar Plunge “Freezin’ for a Reason” event hosted by the Mauldin Police Department will take place on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Discovery Island Waterpark at 417 Baldwin Road in Simpsonville, where participants will brave the cold weather and jump into icy waters to raise money for Special Olympics South Carolina. There will also be a DJ, costume contest and awards given to the highest fundraisers, and water slides will be open. All proceeds raised will benefit Special Olympics South Carolina to help provide year-round sports training and competition for athletes.
