Fire Station Groundbreaking

WHAT: Groundbreaking ceremony at location of Mauldin Fire Department’s new headquarters

WHEN: 10 a.m. Friday, May 27

WHERE: 955 West Butler Road at Plant Street. Parking will be available along Plant Street.

Mauldin Fire Department is excited to celebrate the official groundbreaking of its new headquarters on Plant Street off West Butler Road.  This new location will allow Mauldin Fire to better service the growing community in the Western part of the City and also provide a bigger, 18,000 square foot facility, to meet the needs of the expanding department.  The Fire Department anticipates it will take 12-14 months to be completed.

Mauldin Fire Chief Brian McHone will be joined by City of Mauldin Mayor Terry Merritt, City Council Public Safety Chair Carol King, CloverLeaf Construction representative Drew Wren and Stewart Cooper Newell Architects representative Marty Cotton for a ceremony and photo opportunity.
