The City of Mauldin will hold a public drop-in meeting about the Comprehensive Plan on Thursday, April 24 at the Ray W. Hopkins Mauldin Senior Center. Residents can stop by the Senior Center anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the 24th to review background information, ask questions and provide input related to the Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan serves as a roadmap for the City’s future growth and development and provides a long-term vision that aligns community aspirations with data-driven planning strategies.
By analyzing development trends, previously approved plans, demographic and economic data, and community perceptions, the plan establishes a framework to guide land use decisions and ensures sustainable and well-balanced growth.
Additionally, it complies with the requirements of the South Carolina Planning Enabling Act, reinforcing Mauldin’s commitment to responsible and forward-thinking urban planning.
