Mauldin City Council appointed Matthew Fleahman to serve as the City’s Public Works Director during its October 21, 2019 meeting. Mr. Fleahman will replace interim Public Works Director Kevin Bronson. Mr. Bronson served as interim Director while the City recruited a permanent Director.
Mr. Fleahman comes to the City of Mauldin with more than 15 years of public works experience. He started his career as a Project Engineer with Arcadis and transitioned to local government as the Public Works Director for the Town of Pendleton, SC. Fleahman is leaving his position as the Design and Inspector Manager for Greenville Water’s Engineering Division, where he has worked since 2018.
“I am honored to join the City of Mauldin as the new Public Works Director,” stated Fleahman. “I am excited to build upon on the many successes of the Public Works department in serving the members of the Mauldin community.”
The City is excited to have Mr. Fleahman as the Public Works Director. Fleahman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and his Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Mr. Fleahman will start work for the City of Mauldin in November 2019.
