FINANCE
Our department is responsible for creating the City’s annual budget, maintaining employee payroll, and handling all financial transactions for the City of Mauldin.
The City Budget is crafted by the City Council to keep and improve Mauldin’s healthy financial position and improve the current service levels provided to our community. Mauldin aligns with Greenville County’s business model, which over the past 30 years has transformed itself from the textile capital of the world to automotive, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, advanced materials and data centers.

Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports
Each year, Mauldin releases an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) prepared by the Finance Director’s office — formerly referred to as a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) — that includes financial statements that have been audited by an independent certified public accountant. The document is made up of four sections – Introductory, Financial, Statistical, and Compliance sections. In addition to the financial statements, the report contains other supplementary information to enhance the reader’s understanding of the financial condition of the City.
Popular Annual Financial Report
The City of Mauldin’s budget cycle begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. The Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) provides an overview of the financial results from the City’s Annual Audit. The information included within is intended to increase the community’s awareness of the City’s financial operations and status.
