Planned Growth

Mauldin's Planning for growth has been impressive and sustained since 1980. The city is looking forward to continued population growth. City Administration has taken many actions to best prepare the City for expansion and future development. Our Economic Planner/Developer is responsible for working with citizens, city council, and city administration to prepare for and accommodate growth.

Certificates of Occupancy

  • From 2001 to 2004, the number of New Single Family Homes in Mauldin grew to reach a total of 1559.

Preliminary Subdivisions

  • The Greenville County Planning Commission found that Mauldin had 786 residential lots and 424 residential acres in 2004.
  • Mauldin also had 93 non-residential lots and 57 non-residential acres in 2004 for a combined total lots equaling 879 and total acres amounting to 481.

Rezoning Activity

  • In 2004, Mauldin had 157.9 acres of land rezoned specifically for planned development.
  • The total number of acres rezoned for residential, commercial, industrial, and planned development combined equaled 627.1 in 2004.
